"There are things in this world that do not belong here -- evil things.
Supernatural creatures that are neither myth nor legend. They are, in fact, quite real."
-- Tamara Swift, 1838

The story, in which the Swifts join forces with the ghosts of formidable figures from Britain’s past, including Admiral Nelson, Lord Byron, and Queen Bodicea, won a special commendation at the 2003 Prix Europa and was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award.
