....best known for her portrayal of Tara on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is an actress/writer/director whose most recent work includes the recent independent films Simple Things and Race You to the Bottom, as well as Chance and Lovers, Liars, and Lunatics (both of which she also wrote, produced and directed).
Among Benson's other film credits are The Crush, Bye Bye Love, Imaginary Crimes and Steven Soderbergh's critically-acclaimed King of the Hill. She will next be seen in the original Sci-Fi Channel movie Gryphon. Benson is also a playwright whose work, including Albert Hall, has been produced for the stage in Los Angeles. In addition to films, animated serials, and plays, she has written for comics in Four Letter Worlds and Shadowplay. Ghosts of Albion:Accursed was her first full-length novel. Benson and Christopher Golden have recently completed a brand-new, modern day fantasy novella entitled The Seven Whistlers.
